Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her work. She is a proponent of the rights of animals. She is renowned for her movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) as well as The Getaway (1972). New York was her home and she was brought up in an artistic environment. Her first position was a photo assistant. Then she moved on to modeling and acting. Her two first films got noticed and earned her the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw's film Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world notoriety, and the Academy Award' nomination and an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe award. After only three movies MacGraw was named one of the most successful women at the box office in history. Her footprints, handwritten in 1972 and autograph were engraved at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography by her, was published. MacGraw's been married three different times.
