Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer, best known for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first stage production in which she appeared when she made her stage debut. After that, she performed in numerous Broadway shows before becoming a star on national stage with Li'l Abner in 1957. The singer also released her debut album of music, It's Time For Tina in the same year. Louise made her foray into Hollywood acting as Griselda Walden, a character from God's Little Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film received a lot of praise as well as Louise received her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's student. In 1964, she signed with CBS and portrayed Ginger Grant. Louise was a success in Hollywood as well as Broadway, playing somber characters that reflected her reputation as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Sanctuary however she also made a mark as an accomplished television director on several series including Supernatural and The 100. She was born in Essex on August 28th 1965. She and her family moved to Toronto when she was three and she continued to live there throughout her childhood and adolescence. Following her selection for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997 and is a resident of Vancouver ever for the last ten years.
