Coleman is Lancashire-born. She was a headgirl in the Arnold School, Blackpool and was awarded straight A's on her A level. She regrets that she didn't get a normal schooling when talking about her experience at Emmerdale. Coleman became a member of the theater group, In Yer Space while at school. She performed with them at the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. The play also got a positive reception. The show was praised with a prestigious award for her performance. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale role Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with the drama school. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two awards: for the British Soap Awards as the Most Popular Newcomer and also the National Television Awards as the Most Popular. The British Soap Awards 2009 nominated her in both categories: Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine and the category for Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman got a nomination in the category of Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21st, 2012 that Coleman was set to portray Matt Smith as the Doctor's companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other characters left the show. Moffat said that he chose Coleman for the role of companion due to her ability to perform best alongside Smith. Additionally, Moffat noted that she was more talkative than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been in the entertainment industry since 1987. She has been much more prominent on TV than films. Eva's roles in TV series"Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami are notable. The role that she first appeared on television earned the show two Daytime Emmy nominations, and gave her the opportunity to explore her love for music. Alongside being an actress, Eva is also a charitable philanthropist, as well as an entrepreneurial. She has been married thrice and has a daughter from her first husband.
