Niykee continues to write songs despite having been part of the current chaos. She was hand-picked to be part of her participation in YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. Her songwriting routine is now an inspiration to aspiring producers. Niykee is always listening to beats and discovers many which spark thoughts. In just 5 minutes that I know the beat's worthwhile. From there, I get the idea of a whole song within my head, and then I start to write. I go out to my front porch and play my guitar and lyrics are just a matter of time and typically it's all done in under thirty minutes. Niykee states that, as she matures as a singer-songwriter her painful memories from her childhood serve as an inspiratoin. Niykee says that, even when she is not writing about the things which were actually taking place the pain from childhood and grief over the loss of her daughter makes its way into the music. This influences my music and creates a more profound meaning. For me, it is the most important factor to success.
