Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 and is a Canadian actor. After early roles on television and film, she gained international fame for her part in the role of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). Memento (2000) was awarded the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Supporting Role, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) won her the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress In a Supporting Character. Jessica Jones (2015) to 2019 was her most recent TV show. She also played Jeri Hogarth. Moss was living in Spain when she was approached for the role of Tara Judge Nicholas Marshall's clerk in the drama series Dark Justice. This was her first television appearance. With the series, she moved from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss had to leave Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn who played Samantha Collins. After her return to US, she was enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. She was a model and appeared in Models Inc., a Fox primetime soap show. The series was cancelled on July 1, 1995. She headlined a short-lived made-in-Canada series called Matrix. [3] Throughout the 1990s she was an actress in various television shows, such as Street Justice and Baywatch. She also appeared on F/X: The Series and Due South. Due South earned her a nomination in the Gemini Award for Best Guest actor in the field of drama. The film roles she played included numerous B films including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (94), Tough Guy (94), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (191996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
