
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) which is the top level of women's soccer in United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team from 2018 until 2020 along with Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 9 Morgan was chosen as number one in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she had graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. In the team, she made her debut in professional football and was a part of the team's success in winning the league title. Morgan was 22 years old at the time and was the youngest player on the national team for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team came in second. In the 2012 London Olympics Morgan scored the winning goal in the 123rd minute in the semi-final clash against Canada. The 2012 season ended with 21 goals and 28 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score 20 and 20 goals. This made her the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to score 20 goals in a single season. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, Morgan was also named a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan played a role in helping to help the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was selected to the Dream Team in both tournaments. In the year 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
